The 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Tour is an engaging Savannah safari package that will take you on exciting game drives through vast Savannah plains and take you on a riverboat ride exploring the shores wildlife. Queen Elizabeth National Park lies at an altitude of 1350M above sea level at the highest point and 910M at the lowest point and is possibly Uganda’s most popular National Park.


The park is endowed with a population of about 95 mammals and over 600 bird species with a fascinating history and magnificent scenic views of the Rwenzori (“mountains of the moon”).

The park‘s first name was Kazinga National Park and later christened Queen Elizabeth National park after Queen Elizabeth 11 ‘s visit.

Some of the activities and places to see on the 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Tour include Kyambura Gorge a classic underground forest with lots of fauna and flora to marvel at for the nature lovers with several primate species that include chimpanzees.



The park offers opportunities to see lions, hyenas, hippopotamus, warthogs, elephants, Cape buffalo and more.

A boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel brings you to view hippos at close range, isolated cape buffalo on the channel’s banks, and elephants coming down to drink on a lucky day.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala-Queen Elizabeth Park

Meet and greet with your private 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Tour guide/driver at 7:00 am from your hotel either in Kampala or Entebbe and embark on the drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Make the first stop over at the Equator crossing for photography and another stop at the famous cultural centre at Igongo village to share and learn about the Ankole culture and museum. Have lunch at the Igongo restaurant and thereafter drive on to the park arriving in the evening for a sunset game drive.


Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge (High lodge) or Ihamba Lakeside Safari Lodge (Moderate facility) or Simba Safari Camp (Budget facility)


Day 2: Queen Elizabeth National Park

An early morning game drive along Kasenyi and Queens Mile provide good opportunities to encounter elephants, buffalo, waterbucks, warthogs, lions, Uganda Kobs, and a variety of birds. Your Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Tour game drive will last up to about 4 hours and thereafter return to the lodge for refreshments and breakfast.

After lunch, a boat ride along the famous Kazinga channel is an opportunity to encounter hippopotamus, buffalo, elephants and many more. The boat trip also takes visitors to see a variety of countless bird species.

Day 3: Kyambura gorge chimp walk – Kampala/Entebbe

After breakfast, head to Kyambura gorge for a chimpanzee walk in the gorge, the primates here are unpredictable but the walk is definitely awesome and offers chances to see and watch several primate species and magnificent flora.

Return from Kyambura gorge and continue straight to Kampala to end the Queen Elizabeth Wildlife Tour with a lunch stopover along the way and another stop at the equator to look around the curio shops for some souvenirs to take home.
